The L.A. Haen Chapter was formed in 1947 and is named after an Army Reserve dentist who entered WWII with the Army's 47th (Viking) Division prior to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He was later killed in an air raid over Okinawa and is buried in Renville, Minnesota.
