2Lt Vickie Erdmann, USAFR, 934th Airlift Wing, Minneapolis

Originally from Kyrgyzstan (a former Soviet Republic) she came to Minnesota in 1993 as an ACCELS (American Council for Collaboration in Education and Language Studies) scholarship recipient to attend Bemidji State University.  There she graduated with a degree in English Literature in 1996 and a degree in Education in 2001.   In November 2002 she became a US citizen.

 

She enlisted in the Air Force Reserve in January 2004. In March 2005 Airman Erdmann was selected for a commissioning opportunity as a Deserving Airman for an Intelligence slot.

 

2Lt Erdmann was commissioned through the Academy of Military Science on 18 November 2005.

 

Presently she is pursuing a career as a Russian linguist and awaiting the date for Intelligence school at Goodfellow AFB, TX.

 

She is married and has three children - Nicole, 10, Dayna, 8 and James, 6.
